Integration · Billy
From hours to invoice
in one click.
Your time entries, tasks, and notes turn into invoice lines in Billy automatically. You hit "Send to Billy", and the invoice draft is ready for review.
What the integration does
Timerr is where you track your time and keep your projects in order. Billy is where the bookkeeping lives. The integration makes sure the same information never has to be typed twice.
Automatic invoice lines
Tasks and time entries turn into lines on the invoice. Descriptions, hours, rates, and totals get filled in for you. You review and send.
Notes from your time entries
The notes you write while logging hours get included in the invoice description. Your client sees what the time went to, and you skip rebuilding the report by hand.
Your own payment terms
Pick your default payment terms (8 days net, 14 days, end of month, and so on) once. They follow along automatically on every invoice you send to Billy.
Secure connection
The connection uses Billy's official API through a personal API key. Timerr never has your Billy password, and you can revoke access whenever you want.
How it works
There's no manual import or CSV file. Your hours flow straight from Timerr to Billy.
You log time the way you always do
Start the timer, add manual entries, write notes for what you did. Organise it under client and project. Just like normal.
The project wraps up
When a project is ready to invoice, you open it and click "Send to Billy". It works for both hourly-rate projects and fixed-price projects.
The draft is ready in Billy
The invoice draft is created in Billy with the client, lines, descriptions, and totals already filled in. You open it, check it through, and send.
You finalise and send the invoice in Billy
The draft is yours. Edit, add, or remove lines exactly the way you always do in Billy. The moment you send the invoice, it follows Billy's normal flow with payment reminders and bookkeeping.

Log in to Billy, click your name in the top right corner, and choose "Personal settings". Under "API" you'll find your personal key. Copy it and paste it into Timerr. There's step-by-step help right on the integration page.
A draft. Timerr never creates a sent invoice without you seeing it first. You review the draft inside Billy, fix anything that's missing, and send it off once it's the way it should be.
The VAT is set by Billy based on the client's configuration. The integration sends the amounts ex. VAT, and Billy adds VAT to the draft based on the rate you've chosen for the client or product. So your bookkeeping stays correct.
Then Timerr creates the client in Billy the first time you send an invoice. Next time it just uses the existing contact. If you use CVR lookup in Timerr, the address and contact info come along too.
Yes. Click "Disconnect" on the integration page in Timerr, and your API key is deleted right away. You can also revoke access by regenerating your API key inside Billy. We don't touch your earlier invoices.
